This dharma-based program is designed for Buddhist care providers, chaplains, aspirants, chaplains undergoing Buddhist formation, and individuals with a creative mindset. Each session focuses on the integration of Buddhist teachings, applications of sacred texts, ethics, and practices into spiritual leadership and caregiving, fostering mindfulness, compassion, and wisdom in guiding others on their spiritual paths. In addition to imparting knowledge, the program aims to cultivate qualities such as mindfulness, compassion, and wisdom. This holistic approach ensures that participants can effectively guide others on their spiritual journeys, embodying the principles of Buddhist teachings in their roles as caregivers and spiritual leaders.
The Transformative Holistic Resilience through Inner Values and Education (THRIVE) program offers a comprehensive approach to supporting at-promise urban youth. By prioritizing mindfulness, social-emotional learning, and practical skills development, THRIVE equips participants with tools to manage stress, navigate distorted thoughts and behaviors, and address trauma. Through meditation techniques, mindfulness practices and movements, group dynamics, individual support, and tailored social-emotional learning strategies, THRIVE fosters self-compassion, self-discipline, and overall well-being. The program’s innovative and mindfulness-centered approach aims to ignite and nurture the inherent worth of young people, leading to authentic internal liberation. THRIVE encourages self-discovery, empathy, positive communication, and goal achievement, creating a holistic framework for transformative growth and empowerment with one youth at a time.
